Recipe | Mackerel Tin Fish in Bamboo Shoot

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 tin / can of fish (we have used mackerel for this dish)
  2. 5 cloves of garlic
  3. 5 dried red chilly
  4. 1 medium sized onion
  5. 3 tablespoons of bamboo shoot
  6. 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  7. 1 cup of water

Can of Mackeral Fish (in brine)

DIRECTION TO COOK

  1. Heat the oil in a pan. Saute the onions and chillies
  2. Mash the garlic and toss them into the pan and fry until light golden brown
  3. Pour the canned fish (along with the brine), into the pan. Add bamboo shoot and water
  4. Cook on low flame till the water dries up

Garnish with fresh coriander and serve with rice.
