How To Look Fashionable While Attending a Wedding in Nagaland.

Wondering what to wear to your Naga friend’s wedding? Fret not, because we got you covered! For starters, the dress code in a Naga wedding is usually western formals, with a high dose of fashion. Join us as we give you a sense of the stylish, yet understated fashion with photos from actual Naga weddings. [Also, most weddings in Nagaland happen during winter, so you might want to take notes on how to look fab in a dress while keeping yourself warm.]

Ashom Wangnao (left) wears a black fitted dress with a gray fur coat, and Tinali Sumi (right) pairs her gorgeous green dress with a long gray coat. Going by their pink lips, it looks like the experts recommend a bright pink lipstick to brighten up your ‘dressy-yet warm’ look. Also, golden and black stilettos will never disappoint.

Need to pick up a bridesmaid’s attire for your best friend’s wedding? Lusano (2nd from left) dressed her petite frame in a long fitted gown in pale brown color, with golden details. She finishes her look with dark berry lips and a string of pearls, and is all set to accompany the bride (seen here with the bride’s sisters.)

Suits are the go-to solution for guys attending any wedding. But how can they ‘dress’ it up without breaking the formal dress code? Our friends (pictured below) styled their look with colored neckties and bow ties. You can also try a dual colored suit combo.

Guys can also go with the tried and tested ‘black suit with a smile’ look, especially if it’s your best friend’s wedding, and having fun is as important as looking good.

Want to nail the formal look, but don’t fancy wearing a dress? Maybe you can try wearing a bright colored suit. Arinaro (3rd from left) looks ‘outstanding’ in a fitted mustard colored suit aptly paired with a nude corset top.

Wearing white to a white wedding can be bit tricky, but Yimle (middle) wears hers like a pro. She tones it down with a camel colored long jacket. Her elder brothers join in looking dapper in their suits in gray and navy blue. The trio looks like they are a part of the cast for ‘Suits’ with their perfectly tailored, neutral-toned attires.

Anung and her sister (pictured below) all set to attend their cousin’s wedding. Love how Anung (right) styled her black pencil skirt with a long sleeved top and a fur boa. Her sister looks equally chic in a black and white outfit. She easily enhances her look with a tailored wrap dress and ivory drop earrings that soften the look.

Aokety (middle) looks fab in a long V-necked dress with cherry blossom details. The bride Asu, wears a dreamy white dress with a bejeweled corseted top section, and accentuates the simple look with natural makeup. The groom, Karan, suits up with a Naga traditional vest, and a smile [ Location : Niathu Resort, Dimapur]

Dan Kire (left) is looking very stylish with a checkered suit and a bow tie with a hint of red and blue to add some color to the outfit. The bride looks blissful in a relaxed gown with lace details. Abeitou Kire (right) in a three-piece suit and a beige fitted sweater, with a bright-red pocket square and a tie, joins in for the photo op. Picture perfect!
