“Good morning,” said the little prince.

“Good morning,” said the flower.

“Where are the men?” the little prince asked, politely.

The flower had once seen a caravan passing.

“Men?” she echoed. “I think there are six or seven of them in existence. I saw them, several years ago. But one never knows where to find them. The wind blows them away. They have no roots, and that makes their life very difficult.”

We’re thrilled you’re here! Now, let us tell you a little bit about ourselves.

Our story began over a cup of tea. The usual chatter of daily life and gossip. A friend began to ask questions about our culture , our people and our way of life.

“Where exactly is Nagaland?”

“What do people eat there?”

“What language do people speak?”

What we realized was that these questions were more common than not . It also got us discussing about how much we know about our roots.

Thus, Roots and Leisure was born with the vision of depicting the lifestyle of progressive Nagas – young and the old, and at the same time reconnecting with our roots. We hope that this platform will bring people together through stories, sharing our food and engaging in everyday conversations.
