Discover a New World Through Cosplay – a Chat With the Founder of the Nagaland Anime Junkies (NAJ), Biebe Natso

With the Annual Cosfest coming to an end, you might think it’s the end of another beautiful chapter for NAJ. But it’s only the beginning! Many people attend cosfests across seasons, be it summer or winter. It is undoubtedly one of the biggest events in Nagaland. And its backbone is certainly this club Nagaland Anime Junkies! Today we have the founder of the club, Biebe Natso, here to enlighten us with their journey.     Tell us how this club came to be? I wish we had a deep and inspirational story backing the beginning of our group but we don’t. We started out as a facebook page. It helped us connect and find people who shared a love for anime. Back then we didn’t really think that there would be a lot of anime fans out there, especially in Nagaland, but we were wrong. We got to meet many new faces through the group and created some lasting friendships. How many people are part of your group? Right now, we have got seven members on …

“Slow Down and Get to Know Your Subjects” – Meet Aviu Yhome from Nagaland , Photographer and Photo Manipulation Artist

Photography is a skill most can muster these days but very few can be great storytellers. Today we have a photographer from Nagaland who transforms into a fantasy storyteller through photo manipulation. For those who are on the fence about whether photo manipulation can be considered an art form, it sure does qualify as the greats in this field have an active imagination and a flair for storytelling along with their technical skills. Meet 22-year-old Aviu Yhome from Nagaland, who finds excitement in the fact that no two photos are the same.”No one else can create a photo like the one you created, and that is why the world needs you – the reason the world considers you a chronicler of time and beauty.” We had a great time chatting with Aviu, and here’s an excerpt from the conversation. A tête-à-tête with Aviu Yhome – 22-year-old student and freelance photographer, cum photo manipulation artist. We talk about his photography style, his inspirations and motivations, and how his obsession with color and light is related to …

Faces | I Love Cosplay Because It Helps Me Express Myself Better

“This is my third year of cosplaying in the Cosfest organized by NAJ – Nagaland Anime Junkie. In the first year (2015), I dressed up as an anime maid, and worked at the Anime Maid Cafe. It was so much fun! Second year, I dressed up as ‘Madam Red’ from the anime series ‘Black Butler’. This year I am dressed as ‘Sona’ from League of Legends. I got the costume made through a local tailor here, and I got the wig as a gift from my aunt. She bought it for me when she went on a trip abroad. Cosplay is special because it takes me to a world of anime – which I love so much  – as it helps me to express myself better”  ~ Visazonuo Grace Suokhrie, Student Visazonuo Grace Suokhrie cosplaying as Sona’ from League of Legends.
