Ashwin Chikerur from Pune has always been intrigued by art. As a child, he used to flip through his grandfather’s art books and as a grown-up, his love for his daughter started an exciting journey of quick sketches. Even though he was out of touch with art for a few years, he found his way back to what he truly loves. Meet the Face Behind Amrapali, a 100-Year-Old Portuguese Home Converted Into a Boutique Hotel in Goa

Simran Kaur is the face behind Amrapali, a boutique hotel, built on the strong bones of a 100-year-old Portuguese home. She is a talented multi-faceted woman with an English major, photography minor and is a pastry chef certified by the Le Cordon Bleu, London. Simran applied these skills, added bouts of love, and collected local artisans to bring Amrapali back to life.  The hotel is known for its warm colour palettes and carefully curated details that grace every nook and cranny of the space. The hotel has been featured in various lifestyle magazines like Travel and Leisure, Conde Nast Traveller, Vogue and more. Ashwini Narayan, from Hyderabad, is A Saree Stylist Who Making Saree Trendy, Easy and A Fashion Statement

Ashwini Narayan, originally from Mumbai and now settled in Hyderabad, is on her way to create a new perspective for the saree. No more, shall it be branded as a tool for the traditionalists. She has moulded and wrapped in various funky, fresh and free designs to accommodate various age groups and personality types. Ashwini tells us that if you are a free-spirit, try out lighter cotton and khadi and keep your draping shorter or try the kashta drape (pant-like) or wrap it as a skirt. Ishrat Sahgal, an Entrepreneur From Delhi, Blends Sustainability & Creativity With Her Venture Mishcat Co. Carpets

Ishrat Sahgal is known for her creative vision as well as sustainable business ideas. She grew up in Chandigarh but calls Delhi and London her home today. After studying interior architecture and art history, she created a new venture – Mishcat Co. The company boasts a beautiful array of uniquely designed carpets. The special aspect of these carpets is that they are made by using sari yarn which is leftover from creating saris. This upcycle is reducing waste by repurposing it into something incredibly inspired. The carpets themselves are made with the collaboration of artisans in small villages in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.  Ishrat herself owns her own decor firm but incredibly attached to this cause – bringing traditional Indian culture and craft to a global platform. ‘My Followers Inspired Me to Publish My First Book’ – Rodingpuii, a Self-Published Poet from Mizoram

Rodingpuii is a self-published poet from Mizoram who became a household name, in her home state, because of her raw and beautiful poems on Instagram.
