Today, we have a special guest with us, Ungrumso Raman – a Grade 8 Western Classical Guitarist from Manipur. He is the winner of the Delhi International Classical Guitar Competition of 2015 and represented India in the 6th Sri Lanka Guitar Festival, 2016. Gifted as he was, he was also lucky to have been born and raised in a family who showed immense support for his musical passion, and has helped him to get to where he is today. In his early 20’s, Ungrumso also started teaching classical and acoustic guitar – a great achievement at a very young age. He has taught at Delhi School of Music, New Delhi and Institute of Music Dynamics, Gurgaon.  We had a chat with the talented Ungrumso Raman to know more about classical music and his journey with it thus far. It is an easy and healthy breakfast idea – very simple to prepare containing fresh vegetables and this salad involves no cooking except for boiling the eggs. Ingredients : Lettuce (4-5 leaves) Broccoli (250 gm) 2 Tomatoes 1 Onion 3 Eggs Black pepper (1/2 tbsp) Olive Oil (1 tbsp) Steps to prepare the salad : Boil the eggs in a pot for about 3 minutes on medium flame and close it with a lid without removing the eggs from the water. “This flower has been blooming since forever but my village being small, approximately 80 households – most of them with no education, and of course no funds, hardly did anything to make this beautiful place a public tourist attraction. Even though I was born and brought up in this village, I have never seen this flower until 2014, because this flower blooms during the month when our summer breaks gets over. It starts blooming at the end of June and lasts till the second week of August but the peak time is July 15th to 25th. It was in March,2014 when my cousin Mayo and I finally came back home for good after 15 years of my stay in Pune. This dish is one of the easiest and fastest recipe made with the least of ingredients. Irin is going to show us how it is done, so let’s find out!  The recipe of Butter-Garlic Prawn dish, contributed by Irin Kashyap from Tezpur, Assam. Ingredients : 250 gms of Prawn 1 whole garlic Coriander Butter Black pepper Salt Preparation of the dish : Mildly heat the pan, add 4-5 tbsp of butter so that enough butter is left to use as a sauce. Always cook in medium flame so that the butter does not burn. Add the chopped garlic, fry for a bit Add the prawns and fry for another 7-9 minutes Add salt to taste Sprinkle black pepper Once done, add the chopped coriander. And the delicious Butter-Garlic Prawn dish is ready to serve hot with a steam bowl of rice or with a chilled beer!

“Meet my 5-year-old pet, Zoozoo. I still remember the first day when I got him, he was barely 3 to 4 months old but he was already very active and hyper. As he grew up, we had to face some challenges regarding his health because of the weather in Delhi and it was really hard to see him go through all the difficult times, but things got better as he got accustomed after a year or more. I have taken him along with me – on my travels outside Delhi and he’s a great companion; no issues so far since he has been trained and all that. Whenever he wants to do anything, I would always know through his actions.  Zoozoo loves to meet new people and like any other pets, he loves to get attention too, but he is not very friendly with other pets and that’s the biggest drawback when it comes to me taking him along to a friend’s place who has pets.
