#Recipe| Smoked Pork and Beef With Mushroom Recipe For New Year Special

It’s a new year, and with New Year celebrations, good food is a must! This New Year, we got some mouth-watering smoked meat recipe which we’re sure you’ll enjoy. Read below to learn the recipe and make some for yourself this year. Ingredients: 2 cups of smoked beef and pork (chopped) 2 Tomatoes (chopped) 8-9 sliced green chillies 7-8 spring garlic 1/2 cup chopped garlic 1/4 cup fermented bamboo-shoot water 1 cup oyster mushroom (or any mushroom of your choice) How to cook: Put all the ingredients (except the spring garlic) in a pot. Add 3 cups of water. Add salt to taste Cook till all the water reduces. Add spring garlic. Let it cook over low flame for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat.

#Recipe | Naga Smoked Meat Cooked with Kholar Beans

Today we have yet another simple-to-make and super yummy dish from Nagaland. A traditionally cooked meat dish – made of smoked meat* with kholar (local kidney beans) to be relished with cooked rice and vegetables and chutney on the side. Recipe was contributed by food lover Elika Awomi from Nagaland. *Smoked meat used in this dish is a combination of both pork and beef – which is a common way of cooking smoked meat dishes. The smoked pork lard adds a distinct flavor and texture to the whole dish.  Cooking time : 45 – 60 minutes Ingredients: 1.5 kilo of mixed smoked meat (cleaned and cut into 2 inch pieces) 5-6 greens chilies 4-5 cloves of garlic Handful of dry fermented bamboo shoot (BUY  ON OUR SHOP) 1 cup fresh or dried kholar (local kidney beans) 1 small pice (~2 inches) Naga ginger (more zestier than regular ginger) Salt to taste Directions to Cook: Wash the kholar if it is fresh, or soak it overnight if it’s dry Cut the smoked meat into 2 inch pieces …

Naga Dish | Beef with Sun Dried Spring Onion

We had a small get together at home and we cooked our fav smoked beef dish. Thought we’d share it with you all. Again like most of my dishes – non fussy and super tasty. Ingredients: 8-10 Dried red chillies 1/2 kg smoked beef 4 tablespoons of dried bamboo shoot 8-10 pieces of strands of sun dried spring onion ~500 ml of water Salt to taste Directions: Cut each of the smoked beef into 2″- 3″ pieces Put the smoked beef and chilies in a heavy lid utensil – put in salt and mix thoroughly Pour water , cover the lid and bring it to a boil and cook till done Clean and wash the dried spring onions, chop Just 5 minutes before you turn off your gas (after your meat is fully cooked) put in the chopped dried spring onions and dried bamboo shoot. Mix well and cover the lid and keep it for 5 mins. Serve with steamed rice, with vegetable and chutney on the side.
