And almost unmissable is the fashion landscape of the town, represented mainly by the student crowd gathered from across the North East of India – which is undeniably the country’s hotspot for all the movers and shakers in Fashion. It’s the month of June, and the weather in Nagaland is becoming warmer.It rains occasionally – sometimes very fierce, but as the sky opens up after the showers of rain, temperature may soar as high as 30°C; maybe a little cooler at around 25°C in Kohima. “Spotted this man at the local ‘Night Market’ or ‘Pasar Malam’ in the streets of Greenway market at Hat Yai city, in southern Thailand. At first glance, he came across as a homeless man with ragged clothes; but when I went closer to take this photo, he actually turned out to be pretty cool, and spoke really well. I think he looks like Sinbad (the sailor) with his head scarf. More interestingly, he was selling some cool handmade stuffs  – clothes, bags and accessories made from organic materials. Me and my friends really loved his unique items. Sadly, we forgot to ask his name  – so we went back to the market the next day but we couldn’t find him anywhere. Naturally, when we stumbled upon a treasure of an Instagram account (@nagasstreetstyle) we figured we must share it with you! Why? Because this page’s feed takes that natural curiosity a step further by capturing the divas that walk our very own streets and features them on its feed. @nagasstreetstyle is a favorite among its young fan following for its creators’ love for fashion and an extremely good sense of style.
