Hi Boba! Before we hear about your travel story, introduce yourself.
Hello R&L! My name is Boba Nandeibam. I’m from Imphal, Manipur and I’m an entrepreneur and yes, I love to travel the globe.

So what does traveling mean to you and what inspired you to embark on your adventure?
Traveling means everything to me. I have always wanted to explore new places and meet new people across the world. So whenever I travel, the excitement and the happiness fills me, my mind and my soul. This feeling is something I always want to hold on to. There was a phase in my life where I went through depression and things were pretty difficult. I found my way out our my rut through traveling and it actually healed me. It made me realise that my problem was so small and there is just so much more to life.
The knowledge that I gain and the things I learn from traveling makes me understand the vastness and diversity of the world – right from culture to food and lifestyle, etc. I was doing what makes me happy and that happiness inspires me to travel even more.

How do you decide or plan your trips?
I usually don’t pre-plan my trips. Most of the time, I do it instantly, that is, when I get some days off from work. Balancing life with work and travel is even more exciting!

When I travel I always have a medicine kit, a pair of running shoes, my travel diary, GoPro Camera and chocolates.
Do you think you can pick a favourite destination?
I have been to thirty-one countries so far and so far, I’ve loved every single one! Moreover, I’m not able to pick even a few as my favourites. Every country has a unique culture and traditions and that is something that is so beautiful and interesting.

What destination tops your bucket list at the moment?
I would say Machu Picchu in Peru and Iceland are the two places that are sitting pretty on top of my list. I have never been to South America and that is one place that I am looking forward to exploring next year.
Tell us why you think we should all travel and explore the world.
It’s a very big and wonderful world that we live in. So when you get the opportunity to travel do not miss it! Go on vacations and experience the happiness of traveling in your lifetime. I feel that travel allows us to get to know ourselves better. It also gives us a sense of open-mindedness and it teaches us to adapt, to adjust, to accept, to respect, to connect, to understand and helps us to become a better person. Seeing the world yourself is worth more than looking at pictures and listening to stories. Travel does the heart good 🙂
