Hello Alice! Good to have you with us. Please tell us a little about yourself.
Ciao! I’m Alice Balconi, born near Milano, Italy, where I’m currently living. I had artistic studies and achieved a degree in Fashion Design at Istituto Marangoni, Italy. I believe in healthy living, so I have personally chosen a vegetarian way of life. I try to eat clean every day and practice sports such as running and yoga.
“I’ve always loved art – drawing, fashion, photography, etc. I’m a proud mama of my dog, Napoleone the dachshund – he’s always with me in my studio while I’m drawing. I love him to the moon and back.”

“In 2016, I started working for Marangoni as a fashion drawing lecturer – a job that gives me a lot of happiness and allows me to do things that I’m really passionate about. I also work as an illustrator on my own for a cute fashion brand as a designer.”

“My biggest passion is fashion illustration, mainly for my love of clothes and not the fashion or the trends. Moreover, I love the history of art, basically every aspect of art – from fashion to photography, etc.”

What do you hope people take away from your Art?
“I hope people can see through my art that every woman is a real work of art, and also see the beauty of fashion, which I personally believe, is another artform too.”

Tell us about your future plans
I want to start doing some portraits coloring with oil painting because I want to challenge myself to do something out of my comfort zone. Also, open my own website for my illustrations! 🙂
Until she launches her own website, you can follow Alice Balconi on Instagram to view her illustrations, and to stay updated on her design journey as an illustrator – and more
